the room

I had always imagined what I would want my child’s nursery too look like.  I wasn’t too fond of the “themed” nurseries or the nurseries that a child would outgrow faster than you could afford to remodel it.  I wanted a space that I loved.  A space that I would want to be in.  Something welcoming.  Something beautiful.  A place she would grow with and not out of.  Something feminine yet neutral.  I wanted pieces she could have in her space forever…  Things that could be reused and repurposed.  I am a sentimental sap so the thought of having the chair I rocked Olive in be the chair she rocks her children in, it gets me all warm and fuzzy inside.  I wanted to create a space for her, a space for me, a space for US.
